Full-Time, 12-Month Position

St. Martin’s Episcopal School seeks a culturally competent, strategic, and relationship-driven professional to serve as Annual Fund Manager. This position plays a central role within the Advancement Office, providing strategic direction and execution for The St. Martin’s Fund, the School’s primary annual giving initiative. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Annual Fund Manager is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive annual giving strategy that advances philanthropic engagement across all constituencies. This role manages donor portfolios, leads volunteer fundraising efforts, tracks performance metrics, and strengthens a culture of sustained annual support.

Working in close partnership with the Director of Advancement, Admissions, Marketing, and Advancement and Community Engagement Coordinator, the Annual Fund Manager contributes directly to the School’s financial sustainability and long-term strategic growth. The position requires sound judgment, strong financial and data acumen, and the highest level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive and privileged information.

Key Responsibilities

Annual Fund Strategy & Leadership
Lead the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of The St. Martin’s Fund to achieve or exceed the annual financial goal established by the Board of Trustees.
Develop and implement a comprehensive annual giving strategy that integrates personal solicitation, volunteer engagement, digital outreach, direct mail, and stewardship initiatives.
Establish measurable goals, track performance metrics, and adjust strategies based on giving trends and donor data.
Present annual fund strategy updates and performance reports to the Director of Advancement, Head of School, and Board leadership as needed.
Donor Cultivation & Portfolio Management
Maintain and actively manage a portfolio of donors, developing and executing personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans.
Lead personal solicitation efforts across all constituencies, including parents, grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, and faculty/staff.
Partner with the Director of Advancement and Head of School to identify and qualify major gift prospects emerging from the annual fund pipeline.
Build and strengthen a sustainable culture of philanthropy within the school community.
Data, Reporting & Financial Stewardship
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of donor data within Raiser’s Edge and NXT.
Oversee gift processing workflows in partnership with the Database Coordinator to ensure timely acknowledgments and reporting.
Analyze giving patterns and produce regular fundraising reports for school leadership and the Board.
Support preparation of donor recognition materials, annual reports, and other fundraising collateral.

Advancement Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Admissions and Marketing to align annual fund messaging with enrollment and branding initiatives.
Support the Director of Advancement in advancement-related events that further cultivation and stewardship efforts.
Contribute to the overall strategic growth and sustainability of the Advancement Office.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
5 - 7 years of progressive experience in development or fundraising, preferably within an independent school or mission-driven nonprofit environment.
Demonstrated success in designing and executing annual fund strategies that achieve or exceed fundraising goals.
Proven experience managing donor portfolios and cultivating relationships across multiple constituencies, including parents, alumni, faculty/staff, and community partners.
Experience recruiting, training, and motivating volunteer fundraising leaders.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze giving trends, monitor metrics, and adjust strategy accordingly.
Advanced proficiency in Raiser’s Edge (including NXT) and other fundraising applications; demonstrated commitment to data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to confidently present to parent groups, alumni, faculty/staff, Board members, and school leadership.
Strong strategic thinking, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and ethical judgment when handling confidential and privileged information.

Work Schedule and Position Status
This is a 12-month position within the Administrative Staff. The role is full-time, salaried, exempt, and benefits-eligible, averaging 40 hours per week. The standard daily schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; however, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional school holidays are required due to the nature of advancement work. Occasional travel within the Atlanta area is required. The position joins our staff as a full-time and benefits-eligible employee.

Physical Requirements
This position is primarily performed indoors; noise levels may vary from soft to moderate. The employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, and use hands for writing and computer work. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 25 - 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with ADA requirements.
