Description:

St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking a culturally competent and responsive candidate to
serve as an Assistant Director of Explorers. The position reports to the Director of Explorers
and is responsible for assisting in managing the overall success of the Explorers Extended day
program. The Assistant Director of Explorers role requires a proactive, hands-on team
player that is committed to ensuring a high-quality Extended day program. The position will
administer the following:

Camp Brain
● Manages all aspects of Enrollment for Explorers program to include registration for
after care, enrichment, holiday camp, and staff camp.

● Maintains and monitors Explorers and Enrichment waitlist.
Billing

● Creates and refunds charges for Aftercare, Enrichment, Rising Beginner camp, and
Holiday camps.

● Coordinates with the business office twice a year (September & February) for Explorers
billing.

● Develops spreadsheets for Enrichment vendor contracts and corresponds with the
billing department to ensure proper and timely payments of vendor invoices.

Communication
● Communicates all updates and mass email correspondence to families regarding
programing for Explorers, Enrichment, and Holiday Camps.

● Serves as the primary contact for parent inquiries in all aspects of registration,
enrollment, and changes.

Student Support
● Develops student behavior and action plans as needed.

● Assist directly with students when staff members are absent.

Staff Support
● Assists the Director of Explorers in supervising Explorers staff and outside vendors.

● Creates and Maintains all student rosters for staff. This includes Explorers aftercare,
Enrichment, and Rising beginner camp.

● Updates staff daily on changes with student departures or pick up.

● Manages and communicates with staff through daily meetings.

● Assist in coordination and management of Rising Beginner Camp and Staff

Minimum Qualifications
● Associates degree, preferable

● At least 3-5 years of experience in a school and/or extended day setting

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel

● Desire to plan and work collaboratively on a team is essential.

Physical Requirements
This job is performed inside; the noise level can be soft to loud. While performing the duties
of this job, the employee could be required to stand, stoop, kneel, walk, talk, read, and hear.
The employee could be required to use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls,
and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15

Schedule
The position is approximately 20-hours per week and follows the typical school calendar. This
role is part-time and adheres to a regular daily schedule of 2:00pm - 6:00pm during the
school year. The position is required to be on-site for Rising Beginners Summer Camp during
the months of June and July. The daily schedule for the position will follow typical camp
hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. The position is Non-Exempt and compensation
will be in the form of a stipend.
