Summary

The Mount Vernon School is seeking an Assistant Director of Information Systems and Records Management to provide coordination and support of administrative and technical functions within the Information Systems and Records Management environment. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Information Systems and Records Management.

Role & Responsibilities

- Fulfill ongoing transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and comprehensive records requests for current and former MV students
- Evaluate transfer credit for incoming Upper School students
- Maintain a central records filing system for active and archived student records
- Oversee initial system enrollment process for new students and withdrawal process for outgoing students
- Coordinate offsite records storage solutions and cataloging
- Maintain accurate student, parent, faculty, and staff demographic information within various information systems
- Update information systems to reflect master schedule, student schedule, room assignment, and faculty teaching assignment changes across all divisions
- Collaborate with division administrative assistants regarding attendance collection, bell schedules, and calendar setup
- Support faculty, office staff and end users in the operation of attendance, scheduling, and gradebook modules within the student information system
- Certify NCAA and HOPE eligibility for Upper School students
- Assist with beginning and end-of-term processing for all divisions, including documentation of processes and procedures
- Handle special projects as assigned by supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned such as carpool duty or student supervision

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years experience working in and supporting the functions of a Registrar’s office or a closely related department
- Experience as an Assistant Registrar in a school setting (preferred)
- Experience with integrated student information systems (PowerSchool, Veracross or similar)
- Experience running ad hoc reports
- Familiarity with student centered scheduling models
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying relevant policies, regulations, and rules with the ability to maintain confidentiality of private information
- Experience with transfer credit evaluation and academic program structures
- Experience with GSFC and NCAA regulations related to HOPE Scholarship and Athletic eligibility
