The Mount Vernon School seeks a dynamic Assistant Director of Upper Campus Admissions for the 2021-2022 school year. As a member of the administrative staff at Mount Vernon, this individual will model what it means to be inquisitive, motivated, flexible, and creative as they work to share the Mount Vernon story and support the School’s enrollment goals. They will be a vital member of the Admissions Team, involved in all areas of the School in addition to Middle and Upper School, and will be responsible for fulfilling all of their responsibilities in accordance with the mission of the School.
Role & Responsibilities:
Support the mission, vision, and norms of Mount Vernon
Represent the School at receptions, school fairs, and community events
Coordinate all Middle and Upper School events and student visits
Serve as the point of contact for Middle and Upper School prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment
Manage the Student Ambassador program
Stay informed about the daily life of the School, including school events, curriculum updates, student highlights
Assist with cultivating and maintaining relationships with feeder schools
Demonstrate a high level of competency in multiple Mount Vernon Mindsets (e.g. Creative Thinker, Solution Seeker, Ethical Decision-Maker, Innovator, Collaborator, Communicator)
Experience in Admissions at a high school or collegiate level preferred
Able to solve problems and set goal; driven, resilient, comfortable taking risks, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Creative, able to identify creative solutions, and adapt as new challenges and opportunities arise
Able to connect with people and maintain professional relationships with a positive attitude
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with technological tools and platforms
