The Mount Vernon School seeks to appoint the senior leadership position of Chief Brand Officer, effective October/November 2021. The Chief Brand Officer (CBO) reports to the CEO & Head of School as a senior executive, overseeing the Brand Development Team and partnering with various internal departments and external organizations. Amplifying the mission and executing the vision of the School, the Chief Brand Officer plays a creative, collaborative, and strategic role in building a more inclusive future, exemplified through the following leadership responsibilities:
Digital Marketing Strategist -- appraises the marketplace and cultivates outbound awareness and inbound interest through creative digital pathways, effectively connecting with prospective families and partners
Content Strategist -- creates, curates, and coordinates organizational content delivered through all forms of media, reaffirming value proposition, celebrating achievements, and demonstrating impact
Communication Strategist -- informs and amplifies brand messages and stories with internal and external audiences, bringing the brand to life, increasing understanding, and activating engagement
Design Strategist -- portrays brand values and attributes through guidelines, graphics, spatial design, and large scale experiences, reflecting the mission and vision of the organization
Behavioral & Cultural Strategist -- models a people-centered brand approach, empathizing with what the community feels, sees, and hears
Requiring research, analytical, and writing skills, Mount Vernon is searching for a strategist with strong brand, marketing, and leadership experience. Additionally, the next CBO must have some expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Ultimately, establishing an engaged presence within the overall life of the School will require a high-level of commitment during or after school hours to cultivate and nurture strong relationships within and beyond the Mount Vernon community.
