School: Wesleyan School
Available Position: Teacher
The Wesleyan Faculty Fellows Program is designed to give one year of guidance, training, and experience to recent or soon-to-be college graduates considering teaching as a career. The fellows program provides individuals with the opportunity to develop teaching skills in a supportive environment in which they are given a great deal of responsibility and independence. Faculty fellows are treated as colleagues within their departments as they teach in classroom settings under the mentorship of master teachers. The faculty fellow team teaches with a master teacher and, in a scaffold approach, assumes main teaching responsibilities throughout the school year under the master teacher’s guidance. Fellows assist in coaching, sponsor extracurricular activities each season, and go on mission trips during spring break. Applications for fellows’ positions are reviewed for all academic departments and divisions. Teacher certification is not required.
Wesleyan School is a K - 12 Christian school of academic excellence located in Peachtree Corners, GA, a northeastern suburb of Atlanta. Wesleyan is a full activity school with opportunities for students to participate in athletics and the arts.
