Saint Francis High School seeks a dynamic and experienced teacher to join its Spanish Department for the 2024-2025 school year. Courses may include Spanish I, Spanish II, or Spanish III.

Saint Francis School is an independent, not-for-profit college preparatory program without any religious affiliation, serving the Atlanta Metro area since 1976. The High School is located on 47 acres in Milton and is a tight-knit community of approximately 55 faculty and staff members and 275 students. The mission of Saint Francis School is to provide a college preparatory program to students with diverse academic abilities in a structured environment that is challenging and supportive. The School’s commitment to small class sizes, low pupil-to-teacher ratio, and a strong emphasis on structure and organization allows students to enjoy success in academic areas and develop the self-confidence necessary to be successful in college. Job Description
The ideal candidate will:
Have a passion for working with children and teaching Spanish and a proven track record of success in the classroom.
Follow the curriculum outlines designated by the Department Heads and Curriculum Coordinator so that consistency is established in each grade level and continuity is maintained from one grade level to the next.
Present instruction in a multi-modal fashion and recognize that students have different levels of ability.
Present material in reasonable segments so new concepts can be understood and fully internalized.
Review and reinforce our teaching strategies so that students can better retain and internalize presented material.
Assign reasonable amounts of homework in each area so that skills taught in school can be practiced at home.
Administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
Implement appropriate classroom management procedures.
Maintain communication with parents via email and/or phone.
Meet with parents for formal and informal conferences as needed to provide feedback.
Participate in faculty meetings and professional development.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, or a related field.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Opportunities to lead or assist in extracurricular activities such as clubs and sports for additional stipends.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
