Annunciation Day School, a private parochial school serving preschool through eighth grade students, is seeking a person to serve as Instructional Coordinator for Curriculum and Instruction beginning July 1, 2021. Annunciation Day School (ADS) was founded in 2002 as a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. The mission of the school is to provide an education grounded in respect, compassion, and academic excellence within an Orthodox Christian environment.

The Instructional Coordinator serves as a member of the senior administrative team under the direction of the Head of School as well as serving as a part-time member of the faculty. This role includes supervision and assessment of teaching and instruction, oversight of curriculum development, alignment, and revision as well as the acquiring of materials for preschool through eighth grade and classroom teaching duties. The Instructional Coordinator helps to create and implement professional development for faculty, analyzes and uses data from standardized testing to drive instructional changes and practices, oversees faculty and helps develop and set schedules for all teachers.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years teaching experience and three years in an educational administrative role. A master's degree or higher in the area of curriculum and instruction or leadership and supervision is required along with a current Georgia Certification in one of those areas of concentration as well as teaching certification in grades four through eight. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple projects at once, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. In addition, knowledge and training in the Orton-Gillingham approach in the instruction of reading is desired. ADS is a school centered in Christ, children and community and it is essential that candidates exhibit a knowledge of the unique culture of a parochial school setting as well as a willingness to embrace the teachings of the Greek Orthodox faith.
