Lunchroom Food Service
St. Benedict’s Episcopal School, located in Smyrna, GA, offers lunch to our students through an outside lunch vendor. Many students bring their own lunches however others may order lunch through our outside vendor. The position in food service would be responsible for coordination, preparation and clean up. This position is supported with the help of others such as assistant teachers that help with the final prep of plates and ensuring the plates are delivered to the students. St. Benedict’s is a loving, welcoming environment where the staff enjoy their jobs and each other.

Hours are 10:00am –1:00pm, Monday – Friday. $12.50 hourly, part-time, non-exempt position.

• Ensure the food vendor has arrived with all food as pre-purchased by parents.
• Labels pre-packaged boxed lunches.
• Prepares each plate of hot lunches for the students in grades preschool – 3rd grade per the vendor’s order sheet. This involves scooping out a variety of food items onto a divided plate.
• Ensures all students that have purchased lunch are provided with a lunch
• Discards all leftover food and rinses food pans and utensils.

• Minimum of High school degree or equivalent
• Attention to detail and organized
• Be able to multi-task and stay focused for an efficient outcome
• Friendly and not rattled easily under pressure
• Prior experience working with or around children, preferred
• Be able to hold information confidential when necessary
• Be reliable and dependable
• Remain professional at all times
