Annunciation Day School, a private parochial school serving preschool through eighth grade students, is seeking assistant teachers for preschool and K-2 classrooms. This position begins in August 2021. Annunciation Day School (ADS) was founded in 2002 as a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation. The mission of the school is to provide an education grounded in respect, compassion, and academic excellence within an Orthodox Christian environment.

Assistant teachers serve as members of the faculty under the direction of the Head of School This role provides direct support in classrooms through assisting the teacher and working directly with students in small groups and one-on-one. Qualifications include experience working with elementary-aged children, college level coursework, and a desire to support and care for children. Degree and certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with parents, coworkers and administration as well as form strong and caring connections with children. ADS is a school centered in Christ, children and community and it is essential that candidates exhibit a knowledge of the unique culture of a parochial school setting as well as a willingness to embrace the teachings of the Greek Orthodox faith.
