In the spring of 2011, the Heads of the AAAIS schools adopted a revision of the Principles of Best Practice and the accompanying Internal Guidelines. These Principles and Guidelines were effective with the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. One aspect of the Guidelines calls for “the Head of School and the Director of Admissions to sign a statement that the Admission Principles of Good Practice have been read and agreed to.” This Statement of Commitment is sent to schools annually for reaffirmation.
