Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 5th Grade Homeroom Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will teach Social Studies and English Language Arts (ELA) to 4th and 5th grade students, while the 4th-grade homeroom teacher will be responsible for Math and Science. This role is ideal for an experienced educator or a passionate new teacher looking for strong mentorship and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the 5th-grade homeroom teacher, fostering a welcoming and structured classroom environment.
Plan and deliver engaging and research-driven ELA and Social Studies lessons to both 4th and 5th-grade students.
Collaborate with the 4th-grade teacher to ensure curriculum cohesion across both grades.
Utilize data-informed instructional strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Participate in weekly professional development sessions on Wednesday afternoons.
Contribute to a supportive and collegial school culture, embracing innovation and teamwork.
Assess student progress regularly and provide meaningful feedback.
Uphold the school’s mission, values, and commitment to character development.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, History, or a related field.
Master’s Degree or specialist certificate desirable.
A passion for research-driven teaching and a student-centered approach.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional learning and instructional improvement.
