Description:

We are seeking a passionate and faith-driven Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team at a Christian school serving students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.

Position Summary:
The ELA teacher provides structured, multisensory literacy instruction in a supportive, classroom environment. This role focuses on developing reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills using research-based, dyslexia-informed practices.

Key Responsibilities:
o Deliver explicit, systematic ELA instruction using multisensory methods (e.g., Orton-Gillingham-based approaches)
o Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
o Understand how to manage and foster a middle school classroom that builds resilience, self-advocacy, and confidence, while also providing rigor.
o Collaborate with staff and parents to support student growth
o Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
o Training or experience in structured literacy/dyslexia intervention
o Middle school teaching experience preferred
o Commitment to Christian faith and demonstration of Christian principles in daily life
