Description:

The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy seeks substitute teachers with at least 3 years of experience in teaching.
This teaching position entails:
• Follow plans for instructional activities for all students
• Maintains order within the classroom and school with proactive classroom management and a well-organized learning environment
• Maintains records of student performance and attendance, and communicates this effectively with students and teachers
• Selects and uses a variety of instructional materials to stimulate learning and meet the needs of all students
• Maintains professional manner when interacting with students, parents, patrons, community agencies and colleagues
• Incorporates and models appropriate use of technology to support instruction and student learning
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualified individuals must demonstrate:
• Thorough knowledge of subject matter and teaching skills
• Organizing and managing a classroom
• Motivating and engaging students
• Communicate effectively with parents, other teachers and administrators, both in person and in writing
The Davis Academy is Atlanta’s Reform Jewish Day School, located in Sandy Springs serving approximately 500 students in grades Kindergarten Prep – Eighth. We offer an outstanding teaching and professional environment and excellent school community.
