Academe of the Oaks
Academe of the Oaks, a Waldorf high school, is part of a rapidly growing international school movement. In conjunction with our rigorous college prep curriculum that prepares our students for further academic work, core courses are structured so that students enter into each subject deeply and actively. Our high school students learn to think, to come to their own conclusions, with no need for memorization. Academic learning is enhanced through the integration of arts, service learning, and field trips. The contemporary curriculum includes experiential and project based learning which provide our students with real, living experiences. Students learn how to solve problems and how to work in collaboration. Our strong focus on global and environmental education complements our community service programs. We want our students to become well rounded, confident human beings who can take on challenges and be successful in their lives.
