At George Walton Academy, tradition and innovation meet to create an exceptional environment for student-centered learning. The GWA educational experience is relevant, engaging, and future focused. We understand that today’s students need to be well-prepared for tomorrow’s challenges. We’re committed to developing each child’s passions and strengths through academics, athletics, and the arts. GWA offers 23 AP courses as well as academic support for students of all ages including those with diagnosed learning differences. Upper school students are invited to explore more than 30 clubs and to expand their horizons through our well-developed global studies program.

George Walton Academy celebrates 56 years as a leading K3 -12 independent college-preparatory school in the greater Atlanta area with over 760 students from 11 surrounding counties.
