Cumberland Academy of Georgia, located in Sandy Springs, is a fully-accredited, non-profit independent school specializing in the needs of students with Autism, ADHD and other learning differences. The school serves students in grades 4 -12 who have difficulty succeeding in a traditional school setting. The mission of the academy is to empower independent neurodiverse students by offering strong academics and social skills in a safe, supportive, and structured environment. The academic and social curriculum encourages the development of life skills essential in becoming independent and self-sufficient adults. Small class sizes, challenging college preparatory curriculum, nurturing and supportive faculty and staff, and a strong emphasis on social and life skills encompasses student life at Cumberland. Cumberland operates on a rolling admissions basis so there are no application deadlines.
