Stratford Academy is the oldest independent, non-sectarian, college preparatory, coed day school in Middle Georgia. Located in Macon, it serves students age six months through grade 12. There are four divisions within the school: Preschool (Beginners 3K, Pre-K, and Kindergarten as well as our Little Eagles Early Learning for children age 6 mos. to 2 years), Lower School (Grades 1-5), Middle School (6-8), and Upper School (Grades 9-12).

Stratford opened its doors in September 1960 in the Overlook Mansion (now Mercer University's Woodruff House) on Coleman Hill in historic downtown Macon. Now located on a beautiful, 107-acre campus on Peake Road, the school provides a challenging and supportive learning environment. Among the school’s founding principles is intellectual independence — teaching young people how to think instead of what to think, where to look instead of what to see. Stratford inspires its students with diverse backgrounds and talents to achieve their full potential by providing a superior education and developing responsible, ethical, life-long learners.
